Where an Electrical Career Goes
Finishing the apprenticeship makes you a fully qualified electrician, called a journeyman.
Kinds of Work
Commercial and industrial. Conduit and wiring, lighting and power, motors and controls, fire alarm, data systems, troubleshooting and maintenance. Our apprenticeship trains for this work. More
Low-voltage systems. Data networks, security, sound and video, building automation. More
Residential. Wiring and service work in houses and apartment buildings. More
Moving Up
Foreman, general foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, instructor, training director.
College Credit and Degrees
College credit. The American Council on Education recommends up to 60 college credits for the apprenticeship.
Associate degree. Community College of Beaver County.
Bachelor's degree. Bachelor of Arts in Construction Management, online, through the electrical training ALLIANCE's partnership with Rowan University. The Rowan Program
